Cynghordy is a small, rural village in Carmarthenshire, nestling in the Towy valley on the edge of the Crychan Forest and the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The aim of this site is to provide a resource for the residents of Cynghordy and to provide information about our community to visitors and tourists. We hope that local people and groups will use this site to help create a resource that is interesting, informative and fun.

2nd August 2009 Because of continued bad weather and the delay in cutting the silage it is with great regret that the 2009 show has been CANCELLED. The raffle will still take place. The schedule will be used for the 2010 show, so if you already have one, please keep it until then.

11 october 2008 Feeling Energetic? Why not join us on a circular walk from Galltybere Rhandir Mwyn / Soar-Y-Mynydd on 11th October 2008. Meeting at Galltybere at 10am. Proceeds in aid of Cynghordy Show & Sheepdog Trials. For further details please contact Nea on 01550 750258

July 2008 - The 2008 Show schedule has been added to the site. The printed version will be available soon. The Show was held on Saturday 9th August 2008 On Talgarth Fields.
Oct 2007 - The Giant Pumpkin 2007 Competition Cancelled This years competition has unfortunately had to be cancelled. This is due to the weather making 2007 the worst pumpkin growing season in 35 years! If you did manage to grow one, then please contact David; david@cynghordy.info www.cynghordy.info 0791 941 5858

May 2007 - The Show was held on Saturday 11th August 2007 On Talgarth Fields. This years the sheepdog trials will be held the week BEFORE the show on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August 2007
