Cynghordy is a small, rural village in Carmarthenshire, nestling in the Towy valley on the edge of the Crychan Forest and the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The aim of this site is to provide a resource for the residents of Cynghordy and to provide information about our community to visitors and tourists. We hope that local people and groups will use this site to help create a resource that is interesting, informative and fun.

July 2008 - The 2008 Show schedule has been added to the site. The printed version will be available soon. The Show was held on Saturday 9th August 2008 On Talgarth Fields.
12 october 2007 Lost Dog We received this email today. if you know who the owner may be, please email us at talk@cynghordy.info "We are converting a barn just outside Llandovery and on Monday a coach driver complete with a bus load of passengers stopped by. The driver had nearly knocked down a Jack Russell dog, along with several other lorries, on the main road in Cynghordy. He took it to Llandovery Police who were not really very helpful. As he was from England somewhere he asked if my partner could look after him and try and find his owner. He is a friendly, loving dog but very sad at being parted from his owner. As he was found in the Cynghordy area is there anyway that a posting could be posted on to your website about him. He is about 18-24 months old. We have reported him as missing with the Dog Warden and local Police but nobody has come forward yet. But we would like to trace its owners. He is being well looked after. "
Oct 2007 - The Giant Pumpkin 2007 Competition Cancelled This years competition has unfortunately had to be cancelled. 30th July 2007 - Because of continued bad weather and the delay in cutting the silage it is with great regret that the 2007 show has been CANCELLED. The raffle will still take place. The schedule will be used for the 2008 show, so if you already have one, please keep it until then..

May 2007 - The Show was held on Saturday 11th August 2007 On Talgarth Fields. This years the sheepdog trials will be held the week BEFORE the show on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August 2007
