Hi, Certainly all the tracks in the Irfon Forest are good as I frequently walk the dogs through there, but I can't be sure of those between the station and the forest. At worst you could walk along the road for the aprox 2 miles until you get to the edge of the forest as the road is very very quiet. I estimate that you are looking at a total distance of between 8 to 10miles to get all the way to Llanwrtyd.

We have just received rthe following email. Can anyone comment?

Hello to whoever reads this. Info please. is it possible/feasible to walk from Cynghordy station to Llanwyrtd via reasonable footpaths? I guess it is about 8 miles or so. We thought we might leave the train at Cynghordy and rejoin the next one at Llanwrtyd after suitable lunchtime refreshment, so need to know how long the walk would take. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you. Frank
